Coolsculpting continues to be the #1 non-invasive option for body contouring, and we have been proud to be a leader of CoolSculpting® practices in the area for 6 year. Through revolutionary technology, CoolSculpting® allows us to treat stubborn, localized fat with minimal downtime. It accomplishes this by lowering the temperature of specific treatment areas of your body to freeze only the fat cells, without incisions, injections, or physical removal of anything from your body. The overlying skin is not harmed but does shrink along with your gradual fat reduction. Many of our patients are able to “work from home” in our renovated, dedicated Coolsculpting Suite (or elect to watch a Netflix show on our TV). There are sensory changes the day of the procedure, but most patients feel comfortable resuming daily activities upon leaving our office. Over the next few months, you can expect to lose 20-25% of localized treated fat.
Our general belief is that CoolSculpting® is not a procedure that replaces surgery for best results. Many patients are still happier, and will receive faster and greater results with surgical contouring, such as with tummy tucks (abdominoplasty) and liposuction. But for those who chose CoolSculpting® and are appropriate candidates, they can continue to work on their body contour goals without down time from work, family, or travel: Think spanx under clothes rather than changing clothing sizes. Our patients can continue to work on healthy lifestyle behaviors such as exercising and maintaining activity levels while knowing they will continue to gradually see improvement from CoolSculpting® over a few months time.
One of the changes over the past few years that has occurred is that applicators are now more comfortable to apply with less suction and faster treatments due to colder temperatures. We have various sizes to treat each FDA approved area of the body safely and comfortably. Post treatment side effects of neuralgia, or a nerve ending pain, have decreased with the newer treatment technology as well. We have four full time personnel that have completed the CoolSculpting® University course offered by Allergan, and are up to date on the most successful treatment approaches to help you achieve your goals.
